Homemaker clubs provide education with a difference.  They are local clubs of one of the largest volunteer organizations, the Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association.  Christian County currently has 16 active homemaker clubs with over 225 members.  A majority of the clubs meet during the day, however, several meet during the evening.  The purpose of the homemaker clubs is to provide information education for the family and effecting the needs of today's lifestyles. Lessons are taught on topics ranging from food and nutrition, health, clothing, family economics, home furnishings, and consumer education.  2016-2017 Lesson Topics have been selected and the Schedule of Lesson Training has been posted.

Local clubs meet monthly in homes, churches, restaurants, or community centers at a time convenient to the membership.  Each club has its own set of officers and by-laws.  Each month clubs have a program of interest for their members.  These programs are taught by members on a rotating basis.

Club members have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities and events throughout the year, including trips, programs and seminars.  See the Christian County Homemaker Calendar of Events.
